Summer Camp includes new activities for 2019!  Campers will have fun while connecting with nature and engaging in STEM activities and making real world connections to STEM careers.  

Who?

Campers are children kindergarten through 6th grade who have an interest in science, technology, engineering, math, arts, and the natural world.  We partner with schools and parents to provide engaging STEAM activities throughout the summer. Campers should bring a packed lunch, water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, and towel to sit on.  

Where?  

All summer camps take place at Moore Road Farm, 8407 Moore Road, in Indianapolis.  We have indoor and outdoor educational spaces, deciduous forests, hiking trails, riparian and creek environments, and a variety of natural play spaces for children to explore and enjoy.

What?

STEM Connection summer camps offer:

  • STEM and nature camp near your home
  • Activities aligned to Indiana Academic Standards
  • 8:1 adult to camper ratio
  • Facilitators are certified teachers who are capable of handling students with special needs
  • Campers receive a daily snack, a STEM Connection T-shirt, and an off-site field trip included in the camp fee
  • Activities may include service learning, citizen science, STEM experiments, nature exploration and more!

Cost?

Fee for each camper is $200 per week.

15% discount for each additional sibling

15% discount for returning campers

50% discount for students qualifying for free and reduced lunch

One discount per student.

A $50 registration fee is required to hold each camper’s spot. The $50 is part of the camp fee. The remainder of the fee is due by June 1, 2019.  At the time of registration you have the option to pay $50 per child or the full fee.

When?

Weekly camp is Monday – Thursday – 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Click on dates below to register.

July 8-11, 2019 Guardians of the Galaxy Camp We will explore our natural world and ways that we can take care of our planet.

July 15-18, 2019 We are Makers – GIRLS ONLY Camp We will create art, food, and engineer solutions to problems using scientific methods and the engineering design process.

July 22 – 25, 2019 Animal Planet Camp  We will be exploring farm animals and pets, amphibians and insects.  We’ll also be learning about and keeping an eye on our nesting pair of eagles at the farm!
