WHAT? STEM Challenge Club provides an opportunity for students to learn more about STEM careers and participate in hands-on, minds-on, feet-on-the ground STEM activities connected to the natural world. Each week, STEM kids take on STEM Challenges which are grounded in the Indiana State Academic Standards using the Engineering Design Process and Scientific Method. Students will also have a chance to explore the grounds of Moore Road Farm. A snack is included as part of club.

WHO? Club is open to homeschool students in Kindergarten – 5th grades. Facilitators for our STEM Challenge Clubs, Angela Fitzgerald, Andrea Elstro, and Vera Vander Kooy, are science educators with over 35 years of combined teaching experience and have overseen hands-on STEM experiences for preschool, elementary, and middle school children in a variety of settings.

WHEN? Club meets for 10 weeks, one day per week at Moore Road Farm, 9:30-11:00am. Tuesdays, Feb 13th, 20th, 27th, Mar 6th, 20, 27, Apr 3, 10, 17, and 24th.

WHERE? Moore Road Farm is located at 8407 Moore Road, Indianapolis, IN 46278 .

COST? The cost for STEM Challenge Club is $150 per kindergarten through 5th grade student (with a sibling discount applied when registering more than one child per family) or $75 per Mentor in Training (MIT).
