STEM Summer Camp Fun

2016 Summer Camp Re-Cap

Our last week of camp was spent exploring several different STEM careers. Daily themes focused on chemistry, architecture and design, and ecology. We created maps (cartographers) and landscape art (architecture, landscape designer and artist), made ice cream and explored density of liquids (food chemist, nutritionist, food taster, chef, chemist), worked in the garden and classified fruits & veggies (farmer, agricultural engineer, botanist), and explored the living things at the farm and in the creek (ecologist, biologist). We also were thrilled to go on a field trip to Peace Learning Center and the Discovery Center at Eagle Creek Park. We learned about climate change, our natural world in central Indiana, and how to be positive influences in the world around us. And, of course, we got to visit more with Pippi and Dutch, the Moore Road Farm mascots! It was a great week!
